Sehr gutes Buch Band 1 nur wo bleib Band 2? Details that didn't upset my enjoyment I should add for reasons I'll get to in a bit. When writing a diary based first person POV it doesn't make sense to switch to another 1st person POV and still call that chapter "Howie's diary" because it Hulk Spiel him! Aside from the easy ability to master army stuff, the journey of the recruits coming from wet-behind-the-ears lads to an organised and hardened team is thoroughly enjoyable. The Undead

In addition i thoroughly enjoyed the banter and humour, as well as the laugh out loud moments which I could fully relate to.

I highly recommend this series and all I can say is you're missing out if you skip it! Jun 17, Janice Kujawa rated it it was amazing.

I had to wait to post this review for over 2 hours after I finished the book. When I first opened this book and saw reading time 10 plus hours I kind of inwardly groaned.

But 10 hours of the same story I won't say I couldn't put it down but I will say it was in my hot little hands every available moment.

This book was amazing. Well worth the time. Am so looking forward to the sequels. Will definitely recommend to family friends and fellow readers.

Definite 5 stars. Jul 28, Laurie C. A must for zom-pocalypse readers! This book, once you start, you won't want to stop.

Because it's that good. Not because you want to finish A good story, but because you want to continue in it.

The characters are slowly blended together, so that each one you know, before another is brought into the scheme of things.

I do like well rounded people, places, and great zombie descriptions. This is not a overnight read, or a couple. This book has gave me hope that there is more stories, like this one to read.

Jul 08, Ashleigh Louise Sneyd rated it really liked it. Superb I love zombie books, the biggest problem I have is I feel like some leave so much unsaid that it becomes hard to follow the story.

I like that this is set in the beginning and I love the way it talks about the virus growing and adapting. Its really awesome the way the characters grew.

The book made me laugh, cry and not want to put it down. Would absolutely recommend - Ive only given four stars because Id hate to give five and the rest of the books let it down Superb I love zombie books, the biggest problem I have is I feel like some leave so much unsaid that it becomes hard to follow the story.

Aug 31, Elli Lewis rated it really liked it Shelves: apocalyptic-faves. Shaun of the Dead meets The Walking Dead.

This is a really entertaining Zombie story that demonstrates the excellent quality of independent authors out there. The main character is likeable, the story is gripping and it's really funny.

I absolutely love Dave. Jul 02, Lisa rated it it was amazing. Wonderful Book I have been reading this book for over a week. This is the first zombie book that I've read that I simply could not put down.

It's not all action, though there is a lot. But the thoughts, actions and reactions all come through with simple clarity. It's one damn fine book.

Oct 03, Chris Birrell rated it it was amazing. Adrenaline-fueled zombie classic! Simply couldn't put it down.

Great, memorable and not in the slightest bit cliched characters or storyline make for a stomping good read. And some original new zombie aspects add some originality into my favourite genre!

Read it today! Jun 02, Colleen Goff rated it it was amazing. Awesome I read his other series and he is such a good writer I needed more!

I am not usually a fan of zombie stuff but this so well written. The characters are wonderful can't wait to read the rest of the series and anything else by this author.

Mar 04, Freedom rated it it was amazing. This is the first time I have read a book. Im glad I didnt pay for this.

The book was easy to read and there were entertaining parts, however there was a lot of repetition and pointless plot lines.

It was just one ridiculous gory massacre after another. One very disturbing scene that I found uncomfortable to read and unnecessary was when a group of straight characters held a man captive and pretended they were going to rape him as punishment.

The characters found it all very hilarious and ran away with the man in tears traumatised. Rape is not a joke! It left me utterly flabbergasted.

Mean while the two protagonists of the book are out there slicing and dicing zombies in to oblivion and described as coming out of battles drenched in zombie blood from head to toe, faces covered!

Yet no sign of infection for them or any other character. There was also a few elements that strayed away from the classic zombie genre.

It was far too intelligent and made the genre too far fetched. Another ridiculous thing is the fact the main character Howie is meant to be just a run of the mill average joe supermarket manager that has some how transformed in to the ultimate killing machine!

He manages to turn in to a highly skilled, super fit assassin in an instant, with the ability to lead and navigate an army of people, not to mention strategize a full blown war.

I mean talk about transferable skills! Aug 30, Mike Emeny rated it it was ok. Lets be honest, if you're considering this book and you're a fan of zombies then you are not likely expecting 'high' fiction.

I went into this on the back of the countless reviews here and on Amazon that raved about this series. Things started off quite well.

I wasn't keen on the use of present tense, and I never did like it as the story progressed. Though it started off being quite intense, and suited the story well, eventually it felt gimmicky and it just didn't sit well with me.

In terms of Lets be honest, if you're considering this book and you're a fan of zombies then you are not likely expecting 'high' fiction. In terms of plot - again, things started well enough.

Lots of action, a general sense of terror and confusion as the outbreak explodes out of control. The first few days were fairly entertaining - and then it began to drag Like the zombies that take front of centre for most of the book, the plot reaches a peak and suddenly tumbles into tedium.

Only, not a lot happens in that day at all!! No spoilers - but I was left utterly cheated and deflated by the end of the story. Looking ahead at the next 7 days and I note that the book is over pages long!!

You'd be better served reading the Wheel of time Series. Honestly, if I have to read how Howie is 'good' and the zombies he kills are 'evil' one more time I might just implode.

On too many occasions the plot is halted whilst the reader is taken on Howie's diatribe against the Undead.

The plot concept and characters fell away for me and became more and more unbelievable. Of course, we're expected to suspend reality to some degree, but where this book goes it just got silly.

At first I thought it was a little 'videogamey' and I was content to put up with that and carry on. But, as the virus evolved and the story took its twists and turns, I was hurled well and truly off the roller-coaster and hit the ground hard.

I persisted and finished the book, just so that I could sit here and share my opinion! I don't know what all the fuss is about. If you want grit and plot, read the Walking Dead graphic novels - watch the TV series, and avoid this!

Oct 23, Sally Sadler rated it it was amazing. Never ever thought I'd enjoy undead style books. Basically I loved the extracted series and wasn't sure about the undead stuff but my daughter got me into the tv series and I thought it was ok but lacking in many areas.

But it made me think, I enjoyed Haywoods extracted stuff and the emotional mix so why not try the undead stuff.

Oh wow it doesn't disappoint. I love the speed, the interactions the horror and gore and to put it mildly I litterally imagine who would play what person if it was a Never ever thought I'd enjoy undead style books.

I love the speed, the interactions the horror and gore and to put it mildly I litterally imagine who would play what person if it was a film.

Its fantastic. Heros are brilliant by Haywood, he chooses unlikely awkward ones, some socially inept, some with serious problems and all great fun to see develop.

He is not afraid to slam dunk kill off characters you think can't possibly die so get really caught up. Theres some wicked twists although I figured out most that's just me.

I still enjoyed seeing how the heck he got there. Dont get me wrong, you will have moments where you are litterally wetting yourself laughing which is awkward on the train.

Then moments that make you sick to the core. It's an emotional rollercoaster and he does it really well. Its definitely not for the fain hearted or innocent that's for sure.

I'm convinced I know the secrets but no way to tell without reading on. I am hooked and so far everyone I recommend it to is hooked too.

Why not 5 stars. They better make a film. I'm happy to suggest actors. One thing, not sure if its because I read it on kindle but there patches with a lot of typos.

Charles Griffith recalls:. At the time, everybody was saying that they were making a bad picture. Roger would give it to anybody to read or anybody out on the street.

Griffth later elaborated: "I separated all the different things with sequences with the devil, which were really elaborate, and the dialogue in the past was all in iambic pentameter.

Roger got very excited by that. He handed the script around for everybody to read, but nobody understood the dialogue, so he told me to translate it into English.

The script was ruined. Mel Welles said "it was a wonderful script and it probably would have been the cult film rather than Little Shop of Horrors had it been shot that way.

But either Roger or someone at American International Pictures didn't think it was commercially viable to do it that way and at the last minute a decision was made to rewrite the script without that.

By the time The Undead was being made, the popularity of reincarnation was starting to dwindle. Therefore, Corman decided that they needed to change it up a little and added the time travel elements of Quintis, and a title change.

In July Variety reported that Corman would fully finance the film himself, although it would be distributed by AIP. Pamela Duncan says Roger Corman called her up "out of the blue" and offered her the lead.

Mel Welles called his role of Smolkin "one of the best characters I ever played. I played him kind of insane and what was wonderful was the one of my reviews compared me to Stanley Holloway in one of his Shakespearean gravedigger roles.

Filming started 26 July, That was a big deal for Roger then. Prime Video has you covered this holiday season with movies for the family.
